SUBMITTING FISH Back To Top

Eligible adult participants can submit multiple entries to the contest, at any time, through their participant profile at crestliner.com/trumped, or by using the mobile site. Fishing seasons for eligible contest species are irrelevant to contest eligibility, as Sponsor encourages participants to practice catch and release, with proper handling of fish and subsequent release done as quickly as possible. The upload form will capture the following information from each participant, for each fish submission:

  • First and last name of participant (not required if logged-in)
  • Email contact (not required if logged-in)
  • Fish species (drop-down selection)
  • Fish length
  • Location caught

Participants will also submit two (2) photos of their catch according to the following guidelines:

PHOTO A:

One (1) photo must be submitted that clearly shows the "total length" of the eligible live fish which must be laid flat and parallel with, above or below, an official Trumped Ruler (also affixed to a flat surface) in a way that clearly shows the fish's total length and clearly displays the length of the Ruler, and measurement marks. The fish's mouth is to be aligned vertically with the ZERO mark, tail pinched closed with the measurement mark on the Ruler clearly visible next to it. If necessary, length will be rounded up to the nearest 1/16th of an inch for judging.

PHOTO B:

One (1) photo must be submitted clearly showing the registered entrant holding the same fish as depicted in Photo A in both hands, at chest level. Digitally altered or edited photos will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or otherwise noncompliant, in whole or in part, will be disqualified.

REVIEW PROCESS:

Eligible entries received within an applicable Entry Period will be subject to Sponsor's internal review and there may be up to a seventy-two (72) hour delay from time of submission to time of posting eligible entries on the Leaderboard on the Site. Entries must be received on or before 10:00 pm CT on the last day of an applicable Entry Period to allow for Sponsor's internal review prior to Leaderboard posting. We recommend submitting entries well before the end of the Entry Period. All entries, information, materials, stats, calculations, potential winners, prize awards, and any other communications, materials or information posted or made available on the Leaderboard and/or Site, or as otherwise made available in connection with the Promotion or any element thereof is subject to Sponsor's final review, determination of eligibility, accuracy, authenticity and compliance with these Official Rules, and is in no way considered final (even if posted or appears on the Trumped Leaderboard) unless and until confirmed as such by Sponsor.

POSTING GUIDELINES

Automatic entry disqualification will occur for the following:

1. Fish appears dead:

Fish submitted are subject to approval based on appearance. Specifically, if a fish appears unnaturally lifeless, bloated, discolored or otherwise gives the appearance of being dead it is subject to disqualification. We encourage entrants to practice catch and release, which encourages live fish to be submitted.

2. Fish is an ineligible species:

Submitted fish must be identified clearly enough to place them into an official Species Category. Fish not clearly identified as such will be subject to disqualification.

3. Fish is a hybrid species:

Fish submitted must be of a single species, as defined by the official Species Category. Fish that appear to be hybrid species will be subject to further investigation by Sponsor and possible disqualification.

4. Inappropriate content:

Entries that are, appear to be, or that Sponsor reasonably suspects are noncompliant, photos appear not to have been taken during the applicable Entry Period in which it was submitted, is obscene, graphic, offensive, sexually inappropriate or otherwise unsuitable (such as, without limitation, those entries depicting violence, illegal activity, nudity, explicit activity, cruelty, discriminatory, demeaning, defamatory or inflammatory content, or that are overtly political or religious) as determined by the Sponsor (in its sole discretion).

5. Inappropriate conduct:

Entrants that are, appear to be, or that Sponsor reasonably suspects are uncooperative, unsportsmanlike, disruptive, hostile, fraudulent, cheating, abusive, rude or threatening, or appear to cause damage to habitat or littering, or have submitted indeterminate, forged or inaccurate information and/or photos.

In the event that an entrant/potential winner is disqualified for any reason (whether or not stated herein) their entry will be immediately disqualified, and the next eligible entry will be moved up the Leaderboard.

SPECIES & JUDGING

Eligible entries will be posted on the Leaderboard within the applicable Species Category and ranked in accordance with the longest length (in inches) of the fish based on information provided by entrant in their fish stats entry and entry photos. All decisions are in Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion and are not final unless and until announced as such by Sponsor. All information is subject to verification of eligibility, accuracy, and legitimacy by Sponsor. In the event of a tie, the time stamp of each upload will be used to rank the entries, with the earlier upload taking the higher rank and the second upload taking the next rank on the Leaderboard.
